Stations turn raw materials into worked ones. The Furnace smelts ore into ingots and makes charcoal, glass and glue; the Sawmill saws logs into planks; the Loom tans hide into leather and weaves cloth. Unlike the tables, a station takes time: you load a batch and it works on its own while you go about your day.

Building a station
All three are on the TECHNOLOGY page of the build menu (B) and must be built in A Goddess's Land. Each has three tiers, with a new name and look at each one. See Table Upgrades for the upgrade costs.
| Station | Tier I | Tier II | Tier III | Cost to build |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Furnace (Fire) | Clay Furnace | Stone Bloomery | Blast Furnace | 12 Stone, 4 Wood, 2 Any Grass; 2 Fire, 1 Water, 3 Earth spirits |
| Sawmill (Wind) | Sawhorse | Saw Pit | Wind Sawmill | 10 Wood, 2 Stone; 1 Water, 2 Earth, 2 Wind spirits |
| Loom (Water) | Hand Loom | Floor Loom | Spirit Loom | 8 Wood, 4 Any Grass; 3 Water, 2 Earth spirits |
Loading a station
E at a station to open its window. On the left is the list of what it makes; in the middle the station working; on the right, what the batch you have chosen will cost.
- Pick what to make from the list.
- Choose how many. The MAX button picks as many as you can afford and the station has room for.
- Press the button at the foot of the window (SMELT at the furnace, SAW at the sawmill, WEAVE at the loom). The materials, fuel and spirits are taken at once, and it starts working.
Every recipe and its numbers are on the Smelting and Milling page. Some recipes need a higher tier: Glass needs a Stone Bloomery (tier II), and Spirit Silk and Epic Fiber need a Spirit Loom (tier III).
Batch size and queueing
A station holds a batch of 6 things at tier I, 12 at tier II and 24 at tier III. You can load more while it is working: more of the same thing joins the batch, and something different waits in line and starts when the one before it is done. Everything still waiting or being worked counts toward the batch size.
Where materials come from
Like the bench, a station takes materials from your pack first, then from every store on the screen and every store in the Goddess's land you are standing in. Spirits come from your own spirits.
How each tier works
| Tier | Batch | Time for each | Materials, fuel and spirits | Chance of one extra |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| I | 6 | 100% | 100% | None |
| II | 12 | 60% (40% faster) | 80% | 6% for each thing |
| III | 24 | 36% (64% faster) | 65% | 12% for each thing |
The cost of a whole batch is worked out together and rounded up. For example, 12 Bronze Ingots at a Stone Bloomery take 24 x 80% = 19.2, rounded up to 20 Copper Ore.
The extra is rolled for each thing when you load it, and the lucky extras come out together once the whole batch is done. One extra is one more of what the recipe makes (so an extra at the sawmill is 2 more planks).
Fuel
Only the furnace burns fuel. In its window, choose WOOD, CHARCOAL or PEAT. Making charcoal itself needs no fuel.
| Fuel | How much | Speed |
|---|---|---|
| Wood | 1 for each thing | Normal |
| Charcoal | 1 for every 2 things | 25% faster |
| Peat | 1 for every 3 things | 40% faster |
The station's tier lowers fuel the same way as materials (80% at tier II, 65% at tier III), rounded up for the batch. You make charcoal at the furnace from 2 Wood each. Peat is dug from peat banks.
How long things take
Each thing takes its recipe's time (see Smelting and Milling), times the tier's time, times the fuel's speed at the furnace. Things are made one after another, so a batch takes that time for each thing in it.
Example: 24 Bronze Ingots at a Blast Furnace burning charcoal. Each takes 30 x 0.36 x 0.75 = 8.1 seconds, so the batch takes about 194 seconds. It costs 32 Copper Ore, 8 Charcoal and 16 Fire spirits.
A station counts real time, so it keeps working while you are away. A ring over the station fills as each thing is worked, and the station glows, smokes, saws or weaves while it works.
Collecting
When things are ready, an icon bobs over the station with the number waiting. Open the station and press COLLECT. What is ready goes into your pack; anything that doesn't fit is dropped on the ground beside the station. Loading a new batch also collects anything finished first.
Cancelling
Press CANCEL to stop a station. Everything not yet done comes back to you (its share of the materials, fuel and spirits, rounded down), and everything already done stays in the station to collect. The lucky extras are kept only for the part of the batch that was finished.
Moving and taking down
Moving a station with MOVE keeps its tier and the work in it. Taking it down gives back what it cost and everything you paid for its upgrades. See Table Upgrades.
Tips
- Make charcoal while you sleep or explore, and burn it: half the fuel and 25% faster.
- Upgrading a station pays for itself: at tier III a batch takes 65% of the materials and each thing is made in about a third of the time.
- Load a long queue before a trip and collect it all when you come home.
