In-game description

Padded and plated: it gives up mobility for health and defense.SHOWN ON ITS CARD

What it gives

Every stat gets a bonus set by the coat's metal; the stats it gives less lose 70% of theirs, shared out evenly among the stats it gives more. The bonuses add to your stats as percentages (see Raincoats).

MetalHealth, DefenseSpeed, JumpOther stats
Leather+5.1%+0.9%+3%
Bronze+10.2%+1.8%+6%
Iron+17%+3%+10%
Steel+25.5%+4.5%+15%
Endurium+37.4%+6.6%+22%

Spirits bound at the Spiriting Table, its traits and your worn charms add on top. Coats never wear out.

Making it

Made at the Crafting Table, on the COATS page. From iron up you can choose a lining for 3 more creature parts, and at every metal you can choose its colour. Making it trains defense and health.

MetalCost
Leather5 Hide, 4 Stone, 1 Water Spirit, 2 Earth Spirits
Bronze2 Leather, 3 Bronze Ingot, 4 Stone, 1 Fire Spirit, 3 Earth Spirits
Iron2 Leather, 3 Iron Ingot, 4 Stone, 3 Woolen Cloth, 1 Fire Spirit, 1 Water Spirit, 4 Earth Spirits, 1 Wind Spirit
Steel2 Leather, 4 Steel Ingot, 4 Stone, 4 Woolen Cloth, 1 Fire Spirit, 2 Water Spirits, 5 Earth Spirits, 1 Wind Spirit
Endurium2 Leather, 2 Iron Ingot, 2 Endurium Ingot, 4 Stone, 5 Woolen Cloth, 1 Fire Spirit, 3 Water Spirits, 7 Earth Spirits, 2 Wind Spirits

Coats also turn up in chests and on a fishing line.

Tips

  • The only cut that adds to both health and defense: a strong choice for lairs and dungeons.
  • At endurium its +37.4% defense cuts the damage you take by about 27%.
  • With a Wyvern lining it is a good coat for Giggos's hall.
