In-game description

A pink fruit in green-tipped scales. Inside it is white, freckled black, and tastes like rain.SHOWN ON ITS CARD IN YOUR PACK

Growing

  • Sow it with the Hoe in a tilled bed and keep the bed watered. It takes about 9.5 days to its first harvest in clear weather, then fruits again about every 2.5 days.
  • It likes the sun: fastest in clear sunshine, slower under cloud or a roof, and slow at night.

Harvest

Reap it with the Sickle. A harvest gives 1 to 2 Dragonfruit and 1 to 2 seeds back (1 more seed at Heirloom), and releases 2 Fire, 2 Wind spirits at Plain grade (more at finer grades: see Crop Grades). The plant stays in its bed and fruits again. If a ripe fruit is left more than 3 days, only the fruit rots and the plant starts again.

Where to get seeds

Dragonfruit cactus in the Desert (45%, 1 or 2 seeds), and traders in the Desert. See Seeds.

Notes

  • Dragonfruit is not hardy: snow stops it and frost hurts it in open beds.
  • It is good to eat raw.
