The Goddess Effigy is the first Goddess you build, from the build ring's TECHNOLOGY page. She marks a square of land reaching 18 tiles out from her on every side. Inside it you can build anything, and your Crafting Table makes every recipe.
In-game description
A carved wooden Goddess with a crown of leaves, holding a little light. She marks your land on the map: build within 18 tiles of her. One at first, and one more for each Jewel. Pray to her (E) and you wake beside her.SHOWN IN THE BUILD RING
Using her
- E at her to open her window. MAKE HOME makes her your home: you wake beside her after a fall or a faint.
- UPGRADE raises her to a Goddess Statue (land 24 tiles) for the Statue's cost.
- You may have one Effigy, and one more for each Jewel you hold.
- Her land may not overlap another Goddess's land or meet a village's land.
Taking her down, or moving her, takes down everything built in her land that no other Goddess covers, and gives nothing back for it. See A Goddess's Land.
Building it
It costs 10 
Wood, 4 Any Grass, 3 Water 4 Earth 2 Fire 2 Wind spirits. Take it down with DISMANTLE to get its cost back (see Building).
